Roy B. McMurray age 98, died April 10, 2013 at the New York State Veterans Home in Batavia. He was born January 13, 1915 in Grafton Canada a son of the late Arthur and Theo (Cochran) McMurray and had lived in the United States since he was 16 years old. Roy served in the US Army during WW II and was a member of the Sheret Post #35 American Legion and Strickland Post #4635 V.F.W. Roy was a former employee of GE in Brockport and a member of the Dye Hose Co. #5 of the Albion Fire Dept. He was predeceased by his son Vincent. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia of 68 years; sons, James (Barbara) of Farmington, Roy Jr. of Buffalo, Timothy of Albion, Andy of Hamlin; several grand children, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews. The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes Inc. 21 W. Avenue, Albion, Saturday April 20, from 2:00-4:00 only.
