Lorraine Tully

Obituary of Lorraine W. Tully

Lorraine W. Tully, 83, passed away October 21, 2019 with family by her side. She lived in the Albion/Waterport area most of her life. She was a graduate of Albion High School Class of 1954. Lorraine retired from the NYSDOCS with 31 years of service. After being home for a while, she decided to rejoin the workforce. One of her favorite sayings was "Idle hands are the devil's workshop!", so she went to work at Jubilee Foods for 6 years and worked another 5 years at WAMU Bank before calling it quits. She enjoyed playing the piano and keyboards and was often heard singing or whistling a tune.  She had a “tell it like it is” attitude but also had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to play Yahtzee and Euchre and loved to laugh with family and friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband James F. Tully Sr.; granddaughter, Heather Tully; son, James F. Tully Jr.; and son in-law, Ray Hathaway.

She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by her kids, Laurie Tully Hathaway; Michael (Cathy) Tully; Danny Tully; daughter in-law, Cynthia Tully; Brenda (Fred Conley) Tully; and Tim (Connie Coon) Tully; her grandkids, Katey (Josue), Sean, Brandi (Harvey), Dustin, Jennifer, Tyan (Kelsey ), Zy, and April; great-grandkids, Damon, Katalina, Sophia, Christian, Harvey, Gary, Carmella, Presley and Stacey; sisters, nieces, nephews, and extended family in the U.S. and Canada.

Lorraine loved reminiscing about the great times she had with family and friends on “The Avenue”, and appreciated her special Waterport neighbors, Gene and Jeanie, and Glen and Sandy.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.

Go rest high on that mountain, Mom. Your work on earth is done.
