Obituary of George W. Statt, Jr.
Clarendon: George W. “Uncle Furry” Statt, Jr. age 59, passed away suddenly on February 9, 2020 at his home. He was born November 28, 1960 in Rochester to the late George W. Statt, Sr. and Sandra L. Gustke.
Uncle Furry enjoyed leather crafting and was active in scouting. He was an outgoing guy who enjoyed a good conversation.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Molly Katherine Statt and brother, Scott Statt.
George is survived by his wife of 37 years, Laurey, children, Thomas L. (Kimberly) (Samantha Sevren) Statt, Margaret R. Statt, William P. (Cynthia) Statt, 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, siblings, Robin (Norman) Rand, Theodore A. (Azeez) Zorrnow, Theresa (Terry) Daniels and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
George’s arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, NY 14470.
