Obituary of Kelly L. Weaver

Kelly L. Weaver age 50 died August 29, 2020 at Niagara Hospice following a short courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 25, 1970 in Lockport, the daughter of the late Ronald Weaver and Monica (Crist) Weaver of NC. Kelly loved her cats, past and present; she helped with starting The 10th Chance Rescue 25 years ago, rescuing hundreds of cats. She worked for Red Mill Restaurant and after they closed, she went to work at Wilson Boat House Restaurant for many years. She loved all animals, people and birdwatching; especially hummingbirds. In addition to her father, Kelly was predeceased by her maternal grandparents John and Dorothy Crist; paternal grandparents Howard and Mildred Weaver and her aunt Honey Gilligan. She is survived by her family Doreen Williams, Phyllis Bassler, Rita (Dan)Crist-Johns, Debbie (Gary) Ray, Darcy (Jeff) Jacobs, James Gilligan, Lori (James) Donner; she was the special aunt Jelly to Kathryn, Emily and Allen Donner; best friend of 28 years Janet (Dan) Keleher; her 4 kitties Copper, Piper, Momma, Josey as well as several cousins. A special thank you to her bulldogs, Darcy and Lori. The family will receive friends at the Sherrie Bream Funeral Home 4521 Main St. Gasport Tuesday September 8th 6-8pm where her Celebration of Life Service will be held at 8:00pm. Everyone is required to wear a face mask entering the funeral home.
