Obituary of Victor P. Crimi Jr.

(LOCKPORT/MEDINA) Victor P. Crimi Jr., age 85, formerly of Medina, died November 3, 2020 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital following a short illness. He was born July 8, 1935 in Middleport to Victor and Madeline (LaMachia) Crimi, Sr. and was a life-long resident of this area. Victor worked as the head custodian for the Medina Central Schools and was ordained as a Deacon in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Buffalo on October 19, 1986 after attending Christ the King Seminary. In his role as Deacon, he served St. Mary’s Church in Gasport, St. Stephen’s Church in Middleport and St. Mary’s Church in Medina. In later years he became a communicant at St. John the Baptist Church in Lockport. Victor was also very active in the Office of the Chancery for the Diocese. Mr. Crimi was predeceased by his parents, and a brother Vincent Crimi. He is survived by his sisters: Mary Ann (William) Wanecski of Harpursville, NY and Elaine (Thomas) Domaracki Ryan of Lockport as well as 4 nieces, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street-Middleport, FRIDAY from 9:30-10:30 a.m. only. Family and friends are invited to attend Victor’s Mass of Christian Burial FRIDAY at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Trinity Parish-Medina. Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Please note the Funeral Home and the Church will be operating at 33% capacity per State guidelines. New York State requires those in attendance to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and face coverings are mandatory. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
