Obituary of Thomas Michael Trupo

Waterport: Thomas Michael “Tom” Trupo, age 78, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born August 12, 1942 in Hulberton to the late Francis and Florence (Engert) Trupo.

Tom served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed watching sports and was always one to have a good joke and keep things interesting with his whit. Time with family, especially his grandchildren was always the most important time to Tom.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Patricia on October 7, 2005, his grandchildren, Antonio and Adrian Trupo, and sister, Helen Hunte, brother-in-law, George Hunte.

Tom is survived by his children, Tricia (Michael) Trupo, Tanya (Scott) Marek, Francis A.C. “Tony”(Jennifer) Trupo, grandchildren, Joshua Collings, Carson Trupo, Ella Trupo, siblings, F. Peter (Anita) Trupo, John (Katie) Trupo, Michael (Susan) Trupo, Mary (Gerald) Lord, caregiver and family friend, Wendy Brown, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Tom’s family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY 14470 on Thursday, April 29th from 4:00-7:00pm  

Please note the Funeral Home and will be operating at 50% capacity per state guidelines. New York State requires those in attendance to adhere to the social distancing guidelines and face coverings are mandatory.

A private Memorial Mass at St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Holley will be held at a later date.
