Obituary of Leonard Alan Rettig

Holley: Leonard Alan “Len” Rettig, age 70, passed away June 28, 2021 at Hildebrandt Hospice Center. He was born November 7, 1950 in Gowanda, NY a son of the late Walter and Lillian (Granada) Rettig.

Leonard is survived by his loving wife Luanne (Bibby) Rettig, his 3 children, Jacqueline, Shawn (Rachel) Kory (Frances), 3 grandchildren, Jocelyn, Elizabeth, and Mason, his mother-in-law, Theresa (late Milford) Bibby, brother, Doug, two nieces, Stacy (Tim), Kelly (Shawn), 2 great-nephews, Devon, Andon, sister-in-law, Teri (late Ken) Bibby, 2 nieces, Elenna, Emily, 2 nephews, Ethan and Elijah, great-nephew, Liam, and many more dear relatives and great friends.

Leonard was surrounded by his loving wife, his loving children and their significant others at his bedside when he passed away. He was a loving and caring husband and father. Len was well liked throughout the community. He was a great coach and great leader to his family. He will be deeply missed and loved by many people he has touched in their lives.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31 Holley, NY 14470 on Monday, July 5th from 1:00-4:00pm where his funeral service will follow at 4:00pm. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Tuesday, July 6th at the Garland Cemetery in Clarkson at 12:30pm.
