Obituary of Steven D. Thomas
Albion: Steven D. Thomas, 54, passed away in his sleep Thursday August 12, 2021. He was born June 1, 1967 in Rochester, the son of Patricia D. (Dick) and the late Danforth J. Thomas. Steve was a mechanic and a jack of all trades. He will be remembered for his love of cooking and especially for his love for his grandchildren and family.
Steve was predeceased by his father Danforth; sister, Dawn Marie and brother-in-law, Jim Lavin.
He is survived by his children, Christine Thomas, Joshua (Ashley Pahura) McGuire and Patty, whom he thought of as a daughter; grandchildren, Cameron, Christan, Cayleigh, Carter, Cayden, Charlie, Joshua Jr. and Ryleigh; mother, Patricia D. and sister, Lorrie Lavin; niece, Nicole (Angel Figueroa) Lavin and great-nephew and great-niece, Gabriel and Lily; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21, W. Avenue, Albion on Friday August 27, from 1-2pm followed by Steve’s memorial service at 2:00. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 3:00pm. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
