Obituary of Alice Viola Gilbert
(ALBION)
Alice V. Gilbert, age 103, died August 24, 2021 in Medina Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born December 26, 1917 in Scranton, PA to William and Alice (Comstock) Reed and had lived in this area since 1951. Alice was a strong, firm and dedicated housewife and mother. She had a great faith, loved to read the bible and attended many churches throughout the years. Mrs. Gilbert was predeceased by her husband William, and 2 sons: Thomas and Allan as well as 4 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her children: Joanne Eller of NC, William (Linda Donohue) Gilbert of Middleport, Clarence (Cynthia) Gilbert of CT, daughters-in-law: Esther Gilbert of Middleport, Jana Gilbert of VA, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours and private services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Conversion Center, P.O. Box 384, Hagerstown, MD, 21741.
