Obituary of Robert Lewis Arlington

(Lockport)  Robert Lewis “Bob” Arlington age 86, died August 28, 2021 at Buffalo General Hospital.  He was born July 23, 1935 in Middleport, a son of the late Frank and Julia (Mead) Arlington and had lived in this area all of his life.

Bob was an educator for many years at Niagara Wheatfield Central School District.  He was a member of the Hartland United Methodist Church and the Gasport Masonic Lodge #787 F and A M.  He loved traveling the world with his wife Jeanne.  Together, they traveled most of Western Europe and almost all fifty states; visiting his children and grandchildren.  His last big trip was to Israel.  Bob loved going to his cabin in Beaver River, which is in the Adirondacks.  He was an avid snowmobiler, reader, bowler and golfer.  And in his later years, became an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Fan.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Jeanne Borst Arlington; his grandson Stefan Arlington and his brother William Arlington.  He is survived by his children Frank “Bud” (Patti) Arlington of Bradford PA, James (Linda) Arlington of Kona HI, Nancy (Bob) Martin of Sunland CA, David (Deborah) Arlington of Erie CO; grandchildren Tyler (Nikki) Arlington, Kayla Arlington, Colby Arlington, Audrey Martin; great-grandsons Dylan and Sebastian; his sister Mary Jane Hoffman and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There are no prior calling hours.  His Graveside Service will be held at Hartland Cemetery Tuesday August 31st at 10:00am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hartland United Methodist Church, 8019 Ridge Rd., Gasport NY 14067.
