Obituary of Lawrence Robert O'Shea, Jr.
Middleport: Lawrence Robert O’Shea, Jr. age 79, passed away September 5, 2021. He was born May 29, 1942 in Buffalo to the late Lawrence Robert O’Shea, Sr. and Dorothy Rose O’Shea.
Mr. O’Shea was always tinkering on anything mechanical, especially his classic cars. He was a jack of all trades and if he didn’t know how to do something he would find a way to make it work. Lawrence worked at Niagara Orleans BOCES for many years as the Automotive Mechanics Instructor and was also the proprietor of Kati’s Ice Cream Shop. He enjoyed listening to music and was fond of Elvis Presley and Bob Segar. He was always available to help family, friends and neighbors when in need.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Katherine “Kitty”, sister Dolly, and brother Eugene.
Mr. O’Shea in survived by his children, Lawrence (Julia) O’Shea III, Mark O’Shea, Leslie O’Shea, step-children, John, Jason and Jamie, several beloved grandchildren, sisters, Rosanne (Late Calvin) Woodruff, Jonie McPherson as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home 38 State St. Middleport, NY 14105 on Saturday, September 18th from 2:00-4:00pm only.
Flowers are gratefully declined and memorial contributions in Mr. O’Shea’s name may be made to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation 1702 East Highland Ave., Suite 400 Phoenix, AZ 85016.
