I was very sad to hear about Mr. Shenck's passing. You were long time friends of my parents, Jack and Mary Eberhard. And, I remember him delivering milk to our home! My mother, Mary Eberhard, departed this world not long after Geary (she died Sept. 16). You are in our thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Kathy Eberhard

I'm so sorry for your loss! I'd known "Mr. Moose" for many years. He was a kind and gentle person that loved kids and animals. When I first met him, he was still animal control officer. We had been forced to part with our dog by a landlord. I was in tears when he came to the house. He took the time to comfort me and assure me that he would find a loving home for my furbaby. An hour later, he made a point to call me and let me know that he'd already found 'Simba' a forever home.
I will never forget his kindness.

This guy was the best and will always be in our hearts and thoughts.
He was a great cousin and model to us growing up on Wegman Rd. way back and working the family farm and later at Wegman Dairy.
No one could tell a joke like Moose - he filled the room in more ways than one!
Big hearted and nice as can be!
I guess we just lucked out having a guy of the caliber of .....Moose!

Our sympathy and prayers to the family. I have many memories of “Mr. Shenck”, growing up down the road in Manning. My sister, Kathleen Mawn, babysat the kids. He always had a smile on his face and a joke or story to tell. He will be missed by the whole community.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember riding my first pony at the Shenck farm when I was quite small. The dog started barking and startled the horse causing her to rear up. Mr Shenck was so concerned and yelled hang on Beth! He got me through what could've been devastating. He calmed the horse and got me down. I always trusted him after that. Had the pleasure of knowing him my entire life. He will be missed. RIP Mr. Shenck. God bless.

"Moose"was always a man larger than life with a booming voice to go along with it. He was a big "teddy bear" & always a joy to be around & always ready to tell you a joke!! I first met him when he bowled @ Spencerport Lanes on Friday nights as Tom, my husband, bowled that night as well...against "Moose's" team. Later on Tom played poker on Friday nights with "Moose" & some of his very close friends & from what I was told, always had a new joke to tell. What a memory that man had! He was such a people person & everyone that knew "Moose" was a better human being because of him. He leaves a very big void in so many of our lives, especially his beautiful wife Marge & their seven children & their families. Our thoughts & prayers go out to each & everyone of them & hope with God's help that they can heal from this loss. God Bless them all. Love always, Tom & Judi Dudley

Fond memories of Gary. Remembering our Canal towns barge trip to Rochester on the Erie Canal. The barge left Brockport earlier than announced. In a long dress with a hoop skirt I had to jump aboard. Hesitantly, I did not want to jump aboard a departing barge. Gary said just fall toward the barge and I will catch you. My husband jokingly said Gary was the only man I ever trusted. So many good memories of a great fellow.

My heart is breaking. One of the great men in my life, I cannot remember a time he wasn't part of my family - like an honorary uncle! So many years of memories flood through my mind. I will remember his smiling face, his sharp wit, his warm hugs, and of course, his infectious laugh. Rest well Geary, you are loved and will be remembered fondly.

Along with all of our poker playing buddies, I was very sad to hear of the passing of the Moose. He was truly a great guy and he always regaled us with countless stories and jokes at our games.
I got to know the Moose from the old days of bowling at Spencerport lanes and the subsequent card games when I met him for the first time through my father.
He was truly one of a kind! Thoughts and prayers are with Marge and the family.
